Inspired by features and style from Gretsch’s most prolific rock drummers, the Rock Legend 125th Anniversary drum set is a tribute to rock music’s legendary players. The Rock Legend set features classic 6-ply USA Custom drums, the same Gretsch shell formula that was used back when rock music was developing and defining a culture all its own. Other classic features include vintage rock sizes, mounted tom, Gretsch Round Badge and Millennium Maple finish. To celebrate Gretsch’s 125th anniversary, other subtle appointments have been included.

In over 2 days of session time, we captured the wonderful sound of an orchestral timpani with it´s many different facets in one of our favorite venues: The Teldex scoring stage in Berlin. The same stage where we recorded Berlin Woodwinds and THE Glock. THE Timpani is the first library of it´s kind with True Damping Control, which enables you to dampen the skin on a very natural way by using special recorded release samples. The instrument was played by Sebastian Trimolt (credits includes soundtrack recordings for “The International” and Blue Man Group).

We are very happy to release OSR 2 today. We needed some “extra” time for additional recording-sessions with the orchestra to bring some of our visions into OSR 2. The update will not include additional basic-runs, because OSR has a huge amount of pre-recorded runs. We decided to come up with some improvements for more flexibility and some new artics. Weve recorded fast legato-performances for our new playable runs patches for violins+violas and celli+basses. We divided the musicians into two groups of players. A multiscript will make natural tuning- and timing-discrepancies possible. But youve control over all of these things.
